Total patients under treatment 194

Thiruvananthapuram, April 12: Kerala Minister of Health and Social Justice, Smt K K Shailaja Teacher today said, “It was a day of much relief and hope as 36 patients under treatment in the State have recovered from the Coronavirus infection and tested negative.” 28 patients from Kasargod district (two from Kannur district), six from Malappuram district, and one each from Kozhikode and Idukki districts are the patients whose test results came negative.

Till date, 179 patients have totally recovered from the disease in Kerala as 194 patients are still undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the State.

Meanwhile, two new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kerala today, one each in Kannur and Pathanamthitta districts. Both persons are UAE returnees, one from Dubai and the other from Sharjah.

Continuing the trend in the past few days, the number of people under observation in the State has further come down. Across Kerala, 1,16,941 persons were under observation today, with 1,16,125 at their homes and 816 in hospitals. 176 persons were admitted to hospitals today. Till date, 14,989 samples from people with symptoms have been sent for testing and the results of 13,802 samples are negative.
