The legendary Serbian director Emir Kusturica’s, The Underground, will be screened at the IFFK in the category of Chaos and Control: The Cinema of Emir Kusturica. It talks about the struggles of the Serbian socialists who are preparing for war and received the Palme d’Or award at canes film festival.  The movies have been screened at prestigious film festivals like Venice and Cannes.

Promise me This, which keeps the nature of Serbian folklore, got nominated for the Palme d’Or, Life is a Miracle, which tells the story of the Bosnian war in the early 1990s and was awarded the Cesar Award; and Black Cat, White Cat, which speaks about the diversity of Gypsy life and got Kusturica the Silver Lion in Venice are the other movies in this category.
