The much-awaited Mammooty-LJP combo’s “Nanpakal Nerath Mayakam” will make its international premiere on Monday. It will be screened under the category of International Competition at 3.30 PM at Tagore Theatre.

The movie narrates the story of a group of travellers returning to Kerala after visiting Vellankanni. They stop at a village in Tamil Nadu and doze off after having lunch. James, played by Mammooty, develops changes in his behaviour and starts acting like a native called Sundaram, which confuses the group as well as the villagers.

The Malayalam movie comes to the festival with high hopes, as the director and writer–Lijo and Hareesh– respectively was the same combo behind the much-acclaimed ‘Jellikettu’ and ‘Churuli’. The movie is produced by Lijo and Mammooty under the banner of Mammooty Kampany.
