Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan today inaugurated 102 Family Health Centres built in the State as part of the Adaram Mission.

In his comments, the CM said, “The inauguration of these Family Health Centres is a significant step forward in our Covid defence. The state has been reaping the benefits of converting primary health centres into family health centres during the Covid period.”

In the first phase, 170 Family Health Centres (FHC) were completed. In the second phase, 504 family health centres were announced and out of that, administrative approval was given for the construction of 407 FHCs. There are currently 284 Family Health Centres operational in the state. With the inauguration of 102 FHCs today, there are a total of 386 family health centres in the state.

While major hospitals were converted to Covid hospitals, treatment for non-Covid diseases is being provided through family health centres. The FHC are also providing manpower and resources for Covid First-Line Treatment Centres.
