The directorate aims to create comprehensive fitness awareness in all 14 districts of Kerala. By promoting sports activities, children and youth can be prevented from going down the wrong path, such as drug addiction. Everyone should be aware of the importance of staying healthy, and for this, extensive publicity and awareness activities are required. As part of this, an anti-drug message tour is being organized under the leadership of the department. It will start from Kasaragod on May 5 and conclude at Marine Drive in Ernakulam on May 22. The statewide anti-drug message tour will cover all 14 districts under the leadership of the Sports Minister. People from all walks of life will participate in the tour. Sportspeople and sports organizers will be at the forefront.

Ahead of the tour, the local body sports councils and the district sports councils jointly organised promotional and sports programs in each district. As part of it, there will be a mini-marathon in each district, a cyclethon, a walkathon, and sports exhibitions in two or three centres in each district. All sports organizations will participate in the yatra and will exhibit various sports.

The main mission of this campaign is to restore playgrounds. Playgrounds that are overgrown and abandoned in various parts of the state will be renovated and opened for children to play. Sports kits are being distributed at these playgrounds. An anti-drug pledge will be taken at each centre. The Sports Directorate is implementing activities to involve the entire people of the state in this great mission aimed at the good of the entire state of Kerala.
