Austria’s official submission for the Oscar 2022, Corsage will be screened at the IFFK. The movie directed by Marie Kreutzer had its world premiere at the Cannes. The film is a fictional account of the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria nicknamed ‘Sissi’. She was idolized for her beauty and renowned for inspiring fashion trends. But in 1877, she turned 40 and was officially deemed an old woman. She fights to maintain her public image by lacing her corset tighter and tighter.

 The movie won accolades at the Cannes. It was also screened at several other film festivals. The first screening of Corsage at IFFK would be on 10th December at 2:30 pm in Ajanta theatre.
