Currently, School Wiki boasts an impressive 1,56,262 articles. The report highlights School Wiki as an exemplary use of Wikipedia software in an educational context. It was developed by Kite under the leadership of IT@school, with the aim of collecting and sharing the creative works of students and learning materials created by teachers.

School Wiki contains comprehensive information about each school, including details about alumni, physical facilities, clubs, class magazines, manuscripts produced by schools, local newspapers, local history, folk encyclopedias, and learning projects undertaken by students.

Furthermore, the report mentions Kerala’s commitment to a free software policy. It also states that more than 20 lakh (2 million) computers used in schools across Kerala are equipped with free and open-source software.

As of 2021, only 50% of schools in urban India are connected to the Internet, while in rural areas, the percentage is a mere 20%. Punjab, as well as the Union Territories of Pondicherry and Chandigarh, are ahead of Kerala in terms of Internet access in rural areas. According to the report, Internet connectivity in rural areas in Kerala stands between 80% and 90%.
