Startup City is a project jointly launched by Startup Mission (KSUM) and Unnathi to encourage Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC-ST) entrepreneurs. The objective of the project is to devise activities and schemes to support startups and businesses to improve the livelihood of the SC-ST community, to find the best entrepreneurs, to improve enterprises by utilizing technical services, and to ensure assistance to entrepreneurs interested in starting or expanding enterprises. The scheme will ensure financial assistance, expert advice, and training to the entrepreneurs.

Incubation facilities and support will be provided to entrepreneurs from disadvantaged groups in sectors such as IT, electronics, agriculture, tourism, and public services. Startup City will help develop better workspaces, high-speed internet connectivity, and facilities for a productive work environment.

Startup City can leverage consolidation, collaboration, and integration of entrepreneurs and cooperatives for better functioning, unified branding, marketing, and sales. Through Startup City, it is possible to increase the efficiency and scope of the business.

Programs such as skill and entrepreneurship development programs, leadership workshops, mentorship, and investor meetups will be conducted as part of the project. Those aspiring to launch a business in any sector under the Startup City initiative can register via: bit.ly/ksumstartupcity.
