The Motor Vehicles Department has launched the Virtual PRO system to resolve queries and provide services related to the department. This digital service directory card allows access to all MVD services, including online payment of fines and fees. It also provides essential information about MVD services, including explanatory videos, audios, documents, and direct links to official platforms.
Users can access the Virtual PRO Card platform in PDF format by scanning the QR code available in MVD offices, public spaces, and on social media. The platform includes tutorials on services such as e-challan payments and licence downloads, as well as access to services like motor driving licences, vehicle registration, fitness certificates, permit taxes, circulars/notices, road safety awareness, and emergency services (112 SOS).
The Virtual PRO system was developed as part of the Campus Industries project under the Department of Higher Education. It was created by students from Government Polytechnic College, Kalamassery; Vismaya Media Institute, Kozhikode; and Skill Age Digital Academy, Malappuram, and will be maintained and operated by these institutions.
By scanning the QR code, users are directed to the Motor Vehicles Department website, where they can check for fines by entering their vehicle number. The system allows online payment of fines and other fees, along with access to various MVD services. Similar to the information provided by public relations officers at RTO offices, the virtual PRO provides all relevant details and services to the public in a digital format.
